Co2cycle is an environmentally focused company with a mission to help simplify the carbon balance in our ecosystem. They specialize in helping commercial production companies and special events implement climate-friendly solutions on their sets by providing green alternatives that will help offset the carbon impact on the environment.
The Challenge: Integrating Solar Panels
Co2cycle requires the integration of their solar panels within custom portable shelters to produce green energy that powers phones and laptops at different events. They needed a clever solution from an innovative company that would provide a modern idea for integrating their solar panels with their custom tents.
Solution Provided: A Tailored Solution
At Ins’Tent we love to use our ingenuity and are always up for a challenge regardless of the complexity of the project.
We began by measuring Co2cycle’s solar panels. This would help us determine the best placement for the panels along with the correct spacing for them on the tent’s top. Once we decided on the placement, the how to secure them to the top came to mind. We added hook and loop fasteners to the tent top and to the solar panels so they would safely attached to one another. Then, we added two corner pockets where the panels would be inserted for maximum security.
As for the power cables from the solar panels, this was a bit complicated because we didn’t want to add holes through the top in case of rain. Ultimately, we decided the best way to run them would be through the valance corners. We added grommets to the valances where the cables would effectively run through to provide green power during events.
The Result: An Impressive Fully Customized Tent
